Dress a Girl Pinewood was started by a group of women in 2015, and has become a flourishing ministry. To date, we have sent out 6,127 dresses and dolls to girls in 72 different countries by 63 different missionaries. We are part of an international group that has sent out over 3,000,000 dresses around the world. We meet each month on the second Saturday at Pinewood Church in Room S4 from 9:30-12pm.

Dress a Girl Pinewood

Our goal is simple, we want to make God's best dresses for girls in desperate living situations. The dresses are given free with the message God loves you, that a woman you don’t know has made this dress especially for you and has prayed for your protection and provision.
We pray that each child will come to know him personally one day.

Village pastors tell us that a girl wearing a new dress presents an appearance that she is well cared for and may discourage would-be predators. Because we attach our Dress a Girl label on the outside of each dress, it sends an additional message that each girl is under the care of an organization, giving her added protection from those who would harm her, predators or traffickers.

Support our Ministry

Prayer Requests:
  • Pray that the dresses will help keep the young girls safe and bring them joy. That they will realize someone loves them and prays for them.
  • Pray that the girls receiving dresses (and their families) would know God loves them.
  • Pray for all who are involved in the ministry, that their work will be a blessing to these young girls.
  • Pray the ladies who sew will be blessed and encouraged as they serve the Lord.
  • Pray people will continue to donate fabric, ribbon, and other supplies, and also contribute financially, to support this wonderful ministry.
  • Pray that God will provide missionaries to take dresses.
