His City Kids' Ministry exists to joyfully partner with families of children aged 0 through 5th grade  in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generation. Through high-energy games, engaging Bible teaching, and meaningful fellowship, we seek to nurture young hearts and minds in the truth of God’s Word, helping them grow in love for Christ, His church, and one another. Rooted in the Reformed faith, we aim to cultivate disciples who delight in God, live out their faith with courage, and carry His light into the world.

There is something for all of our His City Kids aged 0 through 5th grade on Sunday Mornings at Pinewood during both the 9:00 Sunday School hour and during worship at 10:30am. Whether you have a newborn or a child about to finish elementary school, there is a place for your child to worship and learn more about Jesus. Ignite Sundays are high-energy, Christ-centered gatherings where kids experience the joy of learning God’s Word in a fun and memorable way! Ignite kicks off with lively games and activities that build energy, teamwork, and friendships. We move into a time of engaging Bible teaching, where God’s Word is shared in ways kids can understand and apply to their lives. Through interactive lessons, stories, and prayer, kids discover the truth of the gospel and how it shapes their everyday choices. Fellowship is woven throughout as kids laugh, learn, and grow together. Our goal is that every child leaves encouraged, energized, and equipped to know and love Jesus more deeply—while having a whole lot of fun along the way! All kids aged 0 through 5th grade are welcome!

It is Pinewood's goal to create a safe and secure environment for all children, students, and volunteers who are involved in church activities. Pinewood maintains a child protection policy known as SafeCARE (Children and Adults in a Responsible Environment). To serve in Children's Ministry, Student Ministry, and at Pinewood Christian Academy, all staff and volunteers are required to be background checked, SafeCARE trained and certified, and wear specific SafeCARE name tags for easy identification.
